A Garden Beneath the Sea
Light is at the heart of Camille’s work, light as inner truth. She believes that everyone seeks to “find themselves,” to be illuminated, to understand the values that guide them, and, through this, to feel fulfilled. Light does not constrain, it guides, gently revealing the many paths we may take to uncover our most personal and profound aspirations.
From Shadow to Light: A Journey Toward Self-Discovery
Each of her pieces invites reverie, encouraging the mind to wander. In losing oneself in contemplation, Camille offers a moment of introspection; shifting perspectives play with shadow and light, evoking each individual’s freedom to explore the opportunities life presents. The volumes reflect the challenges and choices encountered along the way.
Her work is clearly inspired by the Bauhaus movement: she embraces the idea of integrating art into everyday life, and is drawn to its style, clean lines, structured compositions, simplified forms. Yet within this geometric rigor, she introduces softness, adding organic curves and gentle undulations. Her forms are inspired by nature, particularly the underwater world, and the human body, both symbols of vitality, movement, evolution, and the ever-changing nature of our existence.

Our collaboration on the Marsa Al Arab hotel
Imagined as an evocation of the underwater world, a central theme of the project’s artistic direction, this piece became part of a narrative in which the architecture of the hotel, conceived as a yacht anchored to land, enters into dialogue with the deep-sea imaginary. In close, intuitive collaboration with the artist, we envisioned a sculptural, immersive work, both organic and refined.
Each ceramic module appears to move like a frozen wave, or a mineral stratum shaped by the tide. Sinuous lines carve out a tactile and flowing relief, while delicate glass beads punctuate the surface with luminous touches, like oxygen bubbles escaping from the ocean floor. The work speaks a visual language of precision, where each form locks into place, evoking coral formations, submerged fissures, or the slow, silent movement of underwater life.
This piece invites calm and contemplation. It captures ambient light, subtly shifting throughout the day, and integrates seamlessly into the spa’s sensory atmosphere. At the crossroads of art, design, and architecture, the work expresses a shared intention: to let matter converse with space, and to offer a suspended moment to those who encounter it.
